Here is a good example.
Let's say you setup your affiliate program
to be a 2-tier affiliate program. When one
of your affiliates makes a sale, let's say
you give him 40% of the sale. But here's the
trick with 2-tier affiliate programs.
Let's say that your first affiliate recruits
another affiliate under him, and that
affiliate makes a sale, and also get's 40%
of the sale. The only difference here is
that the first affiliate (the one who
referred the second affiliate) gets a
portion of the sale, let's say 10%.
So in actuality, you are paying out 50% of
the total sale price to 2 affiliates. You
are rewarding your first affiliate for
recruiting a second affiliate when they make
a sale.
The majority of the sale should always go to
the affiliate who made the sale, IE the
first affiliate.
So what affiliate software should you use?
This is a part that seems to trick a lot of
people or confuse them, so I will make it as
simple as possible.
The 2 options available to you are,
A) Do it yourself affiliate software
B) Third party software
The 2 have their advantages, and it will
depend on what you are selling which on you
choose. Let's start with selling an ebook or
digital product that can be downloaded
online.
My favourite is http://www.clickbank.com
They are used by thousands of small
businesses online, and if you are just
starting out, this is what you should be
using.
Not only will http://www.clickbank.com allow
you to setup up an affiliate program, they
also send the checks out to your affiliates
and are also used as your credit card
company.
That's right, http://www.clickbank.com will
take your orders, give you an affiliate
program to sell your products thru, and will
take care of the checks so you don't have to
do anything.
So what do they want in return? They take a
fairly hefty fee per sale. $1 and 7% per
sale and they have a one time setup fee of
$49 which is nothing really. You won't find
a better company to setup your affiliate
program with if you are selling digital
products online.
Clickbank.com cannot be used to sell
physical products, IE tangible goods.
So this brings me to my next section. What
affiliate program software should you use
for shipping physical products?
You could do it yourself and use a DIY
affiliate program script. Here are a few
options,
Ultimate Affiliate: Available at
http://www.groundbreak.com for $200.
Little Salesmen: 3 CGI Programs for $197 at
http://www.cgitoolbox.com
These have to be setup on your own
webhosting company and you are responsible
for sending out affiliate checks and making
sure everything is running smoothly. If you
are not that good at cgi scripting, it might
be a good idea to get someone to help you
with setting this up, and mind you, it isn't
cheap.
You will of course need your own merchant
account to accept credit cards on top of
this as well.
If you don't want the hassle of having to
handle the setup of your affiliate program
and still want to ship physical products,
here are your best options.
http://www.netofficetoolbox.com - A very
good option
http://www.CJ.com - Expensive, but also a
good option
Now, last but not least, if you have a
membership site (one that is billed weekly,
monthly, bi monthly, yearly, etc) and you
want to start an affiliate program (and you
should) here are a few tips that will get
that started for you.
There really is only one option currently
for recurring billing and an affiliate
program that’s handled by a third party, and
that is <http://www.ibill.com>. They charge
15% of every sale and they do have a small
setup cost, which I believe is getting more
expensive soon.
So Ibill will accept your credit card orders
and online checks, they will also give you
the option of setting up an affiliate
program, and they will again send out checks
to your affiliates so you don't have to
worry about it.
http://www.clickbank.com
<http://www.clickbank.com> is rumoured to be
starting a service for rebilling soon, which
I would use hands down over Ibill.

The Easy Way to Set Up an Affiliate Program

Most of you are already familiar with
affiliate programs, but for those who are
not, here's a brief description from the
affiliates point of view.
In essence affiliate programs or associate
programs are revenue sharing arrangements
where companies (merchants, which would be
you) pay webmasters commission for sending
them customers.
You are paid a commission if the person buys
a product or service, (Pay Per Sale - Most
Popular Option), clicks on an affiliate link
(Pay Per Click - Less popular due to fraud)
or simply fills out a form (Pay Per Lead -
Also Very Popular).
Basically affiliate programs are programs
that enable you to sell other peoples
products for a percentage of the sale. They
are also a very hot topic at the moment. To
see a comprehensive list of affiliate
programs you can join, visit
<http://www.associateprograms.com>. You can
virtually sell anything online now thanks to
affiliate programs.
So let's say you sell a book on how to
improve your golfing game on the Internet
and you've exhausted your pool of
advertising sources and you need fresh
leads. The best way to go about this would
be to start your own affiliate program and
pay people a percentage of the sale.
For example, if your book is selling for
$47, don't be afraid to give people 50 to
60% of the profits of each sale. Why?
Because it's costing you nothing in
advertising and you get to keep the customer
for life. So imagine if you then had another
product for sale for $97, you could then
advertise this product to your existing
customer base and it would cost you nothing.
Affiliate programs are great for the
merchant (product owner) because it's risk
free. You only pay your affiliates when they
get their leads to perform an action (IE,
buy something from you) so it costs you
nothing. Of course if you have physically
create and ship your product, those would be
your only costs, and even now that can be
avoided by going solely online.
So by using the example of the golfing book,
you can do this. Instead of having a "real
book" so to speak, you could turn it into an
e-book and your customers can download it
online and it costs you nothing to ship or
create! Pure profits all round.

5 Information Product Ideas You Can Swipe From And Start Today On A Shoestring Budget!” (Part 2)

Information Goldmine Idea #6:
HighPayingCareersForHighSchoolDropOuts.com
You really need an open mind for this business, but if you can think outside the box, I really believe this idea is a winner.
This an idea I had for a membership a few months back after seeing a news report on high school drop outs looking for new career paths and training.
In this membership site you would tell people about what kind of jobs they can go for without needing a degree or even a highschool certificate.
You'd be surprised at what jobs are out there and are willing to train employee's and pay rather large amounts of money to do so.
Basically you would be providing people with information on high paying jobs they can go for without needing any formal education at all. You could also have a job notice board in your site as well where employers post job ad's.
Information Goldmine Idea #7:
FiveMinuteGuides.com
This site will be the mother of all adsense sites.
Adsense is all the rage now, and there are so many different ways to make money from Adsense, but here is a method you've probably not tried and most people probably won't as it does take effort and time.
Most people seem to want to keep switching from automatic software generators to bombs to portal sites to directory listing sites, which is fine, but I have and always will stick to creating unique content that's informative and of high quality.
My method is not the only way to make money with Adsense, but I feel this is the best method for long term success, simply because it's been working well for me in different ways since I began Internet marketing back in 1998.
This is a business idea that I'm doing right now and I believe it will make me a fortune in the long run.
What I've been doing is creating a site like Ehow.com. It's a free site that shows people how to do a lot of different things. The best way to explain the site is just for you to go have a quick look now.
They have thousands and thousands of pages of content on all sorts of subjects and the way they get traffic to their site is through the search engines, which is all well and good if you want to wait awhile, but this guide is all about making money quickly.
Every page on their site has an adsense box on it and that's how they make their money. They also have a Alexa traffic ranking of around 2000 which is great.
Trying to write that much content before making any money would be difficult, you'd lose interest quickly and trying to write that much content or even buy that much content in one hit would be lunacy.
I've always prefered to make money constantly even if the project is only half done or in progress. I find it gives me incentive to keep going.
So this is what I'm doing, and no I'm not going to show you my site because I don't want everyone copying it.
I registered a catchy domain name, something like fiveminuteguides.com or learnitnow.com and I started writing little 500 to 750 word action plans on all sorts of topics and one happens to be on a favorite subject of mine, fly fishing.
So my fly fishing page looks something like http://www.fiveminuteguides.com/fly-fishing.html and it's a small 750 check list on all things to do with fly fishing with 2 Adsense boxes, one in the middle and one of the right hand side.
When it comes to Adsense, you have to think like your website visitor. What is it they are looking to buy? There is no use putting something on my website about how to make money with your fly fishing passion because the advertisers with Adsense are selling fly fishing equipment not how to make money with fly fishing.
You need to make your content fit into the Adsense ad's and I think that's where a lot of people go wrong with Adsense.
Back to the business plan. Ok, so you've got your site up, you have a page up on a certain topic that had a fairly high search rate and
Adsense payout rate, now what? How do you make money with this page.
Write articles! For every one fly fishing type checklist write 10 to 20 articles on all sorts of subjects to do with your topic. I wrote close to 40 for mine and I havn't become rich from it but if I can put up 500 similar checklists in the next year I will be earning a very nice income.
But how do you get people from reading your article to going to your website?
Well, not only would you mention your site within your article, (slip it in subtley) you also have your article byline you can use for that purpose.
For example
"For a complete checklist for your first fly fishing trip visit blah.com"
or
"For a complete step by step checklist for catching large Trout visit blah.com"
So not only will you make money instantly from your website, you will also build tons of quality content over time and you will have hundreds maybe even thousands of articles all over the Internet working for you around the clock and your site will do a heck of a lot better in the search engines due to all the incoming links!
This is a very rough outline, but you smart people out there will be able to run with it and add new ideas I havn't even thought of. This is one of those money machines that will make you money on demand pretty much for the life of the Internet.
Information Goldmine Idea #8:
BecomeAFighterPilot.com
The phrase "Fighter Pilot" gets searched for nearly 9000 times a month. Whether that relates to people wanting information on being a
fighter pilot, I don't know, but I sure as hell know I want this information.
A good way to get content for this information product would be to interview either ex fighter pilots or pilots still currently employed within the armed services.
I honestly had no thoughts of even marketing this product, I was solely going to create it to sell to another company like Fabjob.com, who buy ebooks from people.
Information Goldmine Idea #9:
ClickbankBestSellersList.com
This is something I was going to create and market myself today while writing this report, but I thought no, I want to give my customers a chance to start their own profitable business right now.
At the end of this book you will find a chapter called Bonus Chapter 2. Here I give you a list of all the ebook topics I saw selling well in the clickbank.com marketplace.
Here is what I would do with that list. Register the domain name above, go to CBmall.com (where I made this list) and go find all the sites I mentioned in that list and write down the URLs, what type of product is being sold, how it is being sold and how your customers can improve on it.
Tell them how to make money in that market with their own products.
The sales letter would be easy to write for this product. The product really sells itself. You could charge anywhere from $97 to $197 for this type of product. It's like a blueprint to success.
Information Goldmine Idea #10:
ExtremeSportsLovers.com
Extreme Sports are becoming huge business, especially in the US and Europe. What this site is about is creating small guides that you sell on all sorts of Extreme Sports.
In other words, for every possible Extreme Sport out there, create a small guide on how to get started in that sport.
You could sell these for anywhere from $9.95 to $29.95
Want a list of just about every Extreme Sport out there?
http://www.extremedreams.co.uk/partners.htm
A great way to get free traffic to your website would be to start a free forum on all things Extreme Sports.
Another idea if you wanted to target people already started in these Extreme Sports would be to interview top athletes in these Extreme Sports and get them to give your readers a more detailed look at each sport.
You could either do this via text or audio or even video. You could sell a DVD on any Extreme Sport on that list above with an expert showing you how its done.
I can tell you now this has not been done anywhere. The possibilities are endless.

5 Information Product Ideas You Can Swipe From And Start Today On A Shoestring Budget!” (Part 4)

Information Goldmine Idea #15:
Faq-Guides.com
I'm really in love with this idea. I think this would have to be one of the greatest ways to make an affiliate income ever. People have sniffed around the idea before and have come close to this, but this, I believe is the best system to an automated affiliate income there is to date.
Here's the idea.
We've all been taught to create free viral ebooks to either promote our products or affiliate products and submit them to free ebook directories. This was sound advice, but I've found an even better way to make this work.
Create your own free ebook directory full of your own free viral ebooks!
Think Clickbank.com but with free ebooks on all subjects that you own, promoting affiliate programs 24/7.
People go to this site, download the free book they want, they pass it around, and there ya go, automated affiliate income.
But how do you go about creating these free ebooks so they produce the best sales possible? I've found by creating an FAQ list (frequently asked question) on a certain subject and then converting it into PDF, my affiliate sales have soared.
I'm not trying to heavily sell them in the book, they are getting very useful free information and I then point them to a paid resource to get more information if they want to.
I also ask them to pass the book around as much as they like.
Want an example of an FAQ list? Go here
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/body-building/hardgainer-faq/
This FAQ list is quite big and detailed. Your free books only need to be 5 or so pages long.
Here is an article I wrote on creating a viral ebook. It really doesn't have much to do with the business idea in general, but will give you an idea of what I'm talking about at least.
This is just a very quick overview, but if you want more information on creating Ebooks, I suggest you visit 2 sites. My favorite site is Terry Dean's exclusive membersite at http://www.netbreakthroughs.com. It's full of the best information on marketing and it's only $19.95 a month. The next product solely focuses on creating your own Ebook in less then 7 days and that is written by Jim Edwards. You can find it at http://www.7dayebook.com. It's a one off fee for $27 and it comes in Ebook format ironically enough. Now, back to my explanation. Whether you like it or not, having your own product gives you more flexibility in your online advertising AND believe it or not, compiling an Ebook is no more then a weeks work part time if done correctly and IF you do it this way the profits will come in for life. I have checks coming in still from work I did 2 years ago, thanks to the power of residual income affiliate programs and viral marketing Ebooks. Ok, lets get down to the nitty gritty. What is a viral marketing Ebook and why should you create one?
A viral marketing Ebook is a book which sole purpose is to be spread around the Internet quickly, by any means possible. It's not meant to make you money on the front end. You want other people selling it and giving it away to as many people as possible. Why? Because the inside of that book is full of affiliate links to other peoples products and every time someone gives away your book or sells it, (depending on how you want to do it) more people will be seeing your affiliate links, and this is costing you what? NOTHING? Exactly! The best examples I could give you of this process would be by Yanik Silver. He created 2 marketing books that spread over the Internet like wildfire. He gave everyone who purchased the book for $19 or $17 (depending on the book) the rights to sell it or give it away to their customers. Needless to say, thousands of people starting selling it and promoting it all over the Internet. To this day, he is still earning good money from that book, plus he became one of the most well known Internet Marketers to date. So how do you go about creating your own viral marketing Ebook? Here are the steps. 1) Come up with a product idea based on your affiliate program you've already chosen and are already promoting. Coming up with ideas isn't hard. For example, and I know I use this example a lot, BUT, If you are going to be promoting a sports betting affiliate program, why not create a book on becoming a successful punter. Then throughout the book, you can recommend your favorite sports betting affiliate program. 101 insider secrets to sports betting How to bet with other peoples money A good way to come up with ideas is to look at what others are already selling and mimic that. You dont need to recreate the wheel here, so PLEASE don't make things harder then they have to be. 2) Get the tools you need to succeed You are going to need a few tools here. A) A domain name I register all my domain names with http://www.namecheap.com for under $9 a domain name, which to me is pretty darn cheap. You want a fairly short domain name that describes the content of your book fairly well. Here's an example for you people promoting sport betting affiliate programs. http://www.sportsbettingaffiliates.com http://www.sportsoddbetting.com http://www.101waystobeattheodds.com http://www.betforfree.com etc.... B) Webhosting Let me say first, you get what you pay for. This has never been more true then with webhosting. YOU NEED a good reliable webhosting company with 24/7 technical support. If your site goes down and you can't contact anyone to help you get it back up, you will lose sales and a lot of them. I recommed you use http://www.thirdspherehosting.com for the simple fact they offer all you need, plus a lot more for a reasonable price. C) Autoresponder You will need this so you can contact your prospects that don't purchase straight away. This is where you will give away your free course or someway to entice them to give you their email address so you can contact them periodically. D) Credit card processor Just use http://www.clickbank.com. This step is too easy. They will let you accept all major credit cards and start an affiliate program for a one time setup fee of under $50. They do take a percentage of every sale, but this is so much cheaper then getting your own merchant account.
Just about everyone selling Ebooks online is using Clickbank. E) Ebook Software You will more then likely want to create your book in PDF format so everyone can read it. Some Ebooks come in EXE format, but mac users can't read that format, so I find it best to use PDF. You can create your book with http://www.createpdf.com for a fairly cheap price. F) Graphic Design Software If you are anything like me, your artistic abilities peaked at age 7. So instead of busting my hump to create my Ebook covers and website graphics I use http://www.ecovergenerator.comand http://www.headergenerator.com for all my graphics. They are great pieces of software that you can use instead of hiring graphic designers. I do however recommend one graphic designer by the name of Brian Terry. You can view his work at http://www.ebookwow.com. 3) Outline your book chapters into articles Writing a whole book in one sitting is hard, and trying to write a book without outlining the chapters is nearly impossible. My first book I ever wrote took me over 6 months but now most of my books take me less then a week to finish and that is with a sales letter and website up. All you have to do is think up 12 to 15 article topics in sequence and write about them. Each page should be around 700 to 1000 words, full of useful information, not information people could get for free. 4) Write your content Like I said just before, you need original content. There are too many books out there now where people are just regurgitating information others can get for free and this lowers the value of your book, which means less people will pass it around and even less will read it. If you are really stuck with your writing, I suggest that you do the following. Actually, Terry Dean from http://www.netbreakthroughs.com taught me this trick.
The best way to get a good amount of original information without writing it yourself is to interview experts in the field. For instance, if you were writing a book about improving your golf handicap, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find some local experts who you could grill in person, over the phone or even via the Internet and you can then put all that information in the book. It's also a good selling point. Also remember when your writing what the point of this book is. The point of the book is to earn you an on going commission with affiliate programs, so don't feel like you can't throw some affiliate links in, because you can, but make sure it's tactful and in place. Another good idea would be to put a "Subscribe to my newsletter" section in your book as well, so not only will you make commissions on sales, but also generate leads without doing any extra work. Make sure you clearly state in the front of the book, that the buyer can sell this book as his own. State that he has Resell Rights to the product and can sell it or give it away if he chooses. 5) Create your sales letter This is where you will be selling your book from and is critically crucial to your success. Creating a sales letter takes a lot of work, especially if your new to the whole thing. The best way and the way I use, is to mimic successful sales letters. I recommend you have a look at the following sales letters selling Ebooks. http://www.turnwordsintotraffic.com http://www.masterinternetmarketing.com http://www.linkingstrategies.com http://www.the-whole-truth.com http://www.instantinternetprofits.com If for some reason you think you can't do this by yourself, you have 2 options.

1) Use software that helps put together your sales letter and
2) Hire a copywriter Software is great and there a 2 options out there. The first one is http://www.instantsalesletters.com by Yanik Silver and http://www.saleslettergenerator.com by Armand Morin.

They are just as good as each other. However, if you want to hire a professional copywriter, your looking at thousands of dollars, plus royalties from your book sales. Remember that your selling this book with reprint rights, which means when they buy the book they can sell it as well. This is a huge selling point for you. You will also be giving them your Ebook cover, website graphics and sales letter to use to sell your product. 6) Plug in your free 5 day autoresponder series The best way to write your free 5 day course that your prospect get via your pop up window is to take chapters out of your book and put them in as a free teaser. Remember to emphasize an urgency. You want to make these prospects who don't buy straight away, feel like they are missing out on an opportunity of a life time and considering the low price of the book, if they don't buy, more then likely they weren't really interested or were freebie seekers from the start. 7) Advertise! Depending on your topic, you will want to target different people. However, no matter what topic your selling on, there is one market who will want your book for the sole purpose of selling it, and that's the Internet Marketing group. Your book could be on Hippo's but all they care about is the fact they can sell it as their own. This is why this type of book always does well. The key is to target people in your market and then the Internet Marketing crowd. I really am begging you to check out Terry Deans http://www.netbreakthroughs.com as it will give you all the knowledge you need and if you want you can stay for 1 month and still get more then you will ever need, information and personal help wise.

5 Information Product Ideas You Can Swipe From And Start Today On A Shoestring Budget!” (Part 3)

Information Goldmine Idea #11:
RetireIn.com
People want to retire, but they are not sure where. All day 50+ couples, Men and Women are asking questions about retirement. All you have to do is tap in on this market.
Information Goldmine Idea #12:
OutdoorPatioFurnitureGuide.com
I've already started creating this site but I got distracted by other business ideas. I never realised just how deep you could go with keywords for this market.
There are thousands and thousands of keywords you could target in this niche.
Put "patio furniture" into Nichebot.com and see what you can find. I really recommend you get a subscription to Wordtracker.com for all of the content site ideas I give you in this book.
You will find keywords you didnt even know existed but are really profitable.
Who knew Patio Heaters are big business.
Information Goldmine Idea #13:
HobbyIn2Cash.com
This is my favorite business idea of them all. Just about everyone has a favorite hobby yah? And we all wish we could turn this hobby into a full time income right?
Well this is what you would teach people in this membership site.
How to make money with their love of....
How to make money with your love of golf
How to make money with your love of scrapbooking
How to make money with your love of baseball
How to make money with your love knitting
Etc....
What you could do is setup a membership site called Hobbyin2Cash.com that teaches people how to make money with their chosen hobby.
The best way to go about this would be to have different categories in your membership for different hobbies.
You could then update your membership site every month with articles specifically for that hobby.
So for instance you could have 2 articles written about making money with scrapbooking, and to keep your members coming back paying month after month, you would add new articles every month on how to make even more money with their love of scrapbooking.
You could do this with just about every hobby known to man, and in 1 or 2 years have one of the largest paid content sites on the Internet.
You could easily charge anywhere from $29.95 a month for this information. You would only need 1000 subscribers and you would be earning nearly $30,000 a month!
Information Goldmine Idea #14:
BeeKeepingForProfits.com
This is something I was going to do for fun but ran out of time. I'm not sure if this idea would be profitable or not, but it would cost next to nothing to start.
Again, people will pay for information in an organized fashion. Bee Keeping is a pretty serious business and people looking to get started with it need good solid information.
You could probably write an ebook on Bee Keeping and sell quite a few copies, but I'd prefer to start a small membership site and sell access to it for $9.95 a month.
You can find lots of content to use, research and re-write by typing "Bee Keeping FAQ" into Google.com

5 Information Product Ideas You Can Swipe From And Start Today On A Shoestring Budget!” (Part I)

Information Goldmine Idea #1:
SecretChessMoves.com
Everyone is in a hoo-ha about public domain content and how it's an easy way to create your own products, and I couldn't agree more. I've sold more then my fair share of public domain material, but I hardly sell it in ebook form anymore.
Why?
Well why would I?
I love ebooks, more then any other way to make money online. Ebooks are great, but sometimes it's a good idea to buck the trends.
Everyone is using public domain content and turning it into digital content, but what I've been doing is using various public domain texts and turning them into massive physical products.
The next project I was about to create in this format was a Chess product from text I found at Gutenberg.org. There are 3 or 4 texts in the public domain that are massive in size and as an avid Chess player, I found fascinating, so I was going to create a massive bounded physical product out of these texts.
This isn't hard to do and there are many ways to go about it.
You could on the basic scale just print off the public domain texts and put them into a 3 ring binder, you could create an AUDIO CD set with the text or you could create a tutorial DVD using the example chess moves they give you in the text.
A DVD would go down real well and you could sell it for big bucks.
****DISCLAIMER****
Copyright laws are changing all over the world. Be sure to check the copyright laws for your country before downloading or redistributing ANY public domain content!.
Information Goldmine Idea #2:
ReprintRightsBroker.com
One of the hottest niche markets off the Internet marketing field is reprint rights. Everyone wants to have their own products without having to create them, themselves.
Basically, reprint rights are products people have created like ebooks or anything digital usually and they allow people to buy rights to sell the product as their own without having to give any money from the sales to the original owner.
Reprint rights sell from as low as $17 to as high as $15,000 and more.
The idea for this business is to be the middle man when people are looking for reprint rights. You could create a site that allows people to
advertise the type of reprint rights they are offering to their product and you could charge them a set fee or take a percentage of the sale.
This is sort of like the first business idea, the difference really is the market.
You could even set it up as a membership site. I know I would pay to join a site that had honest reviews on reprint rights for sale. Become the central hub for people looking for reprint rights and for people looking to advertise their reprint rights.
Information Goldmine Idea #3:
GoalLists.com
This is a good'n of a business idea and I got the idea from a similar service called Mygoals.com.
Everybody has goals they want to acheive but sometimes they don't know exactly how to get there or they lose their motivation quickly. I know I do sometimes, everyone does.
The business idea here is to sell people access to a membership that shows them exactly how to acheive their goals and then gives them the movtivation to do it.
Let's say someone wanted to write a novel, but didn't really know how to get started and they also know they would lose motivation along the way, this is what I would do.
I would give them a complete day by day checklist of things they had to do that day and have completed by that night and so on, until you had a whole week of checklists for them to use for everyday of the week.
People want things done for them and while you can't write their novel for them, you can practically hold them by the hand and tell them what needed to be done to get to their goals.
There are a million and one ideas you could do with this one, I just mentioned one idea.
Information Goldmine Idea #4:
TakeAShortBreak.com
Everybody wants to get away for a weekend or long weekend every once and a while but no one really knows where to go or what to do
and by the time they figure out what their plan is, they have usually run out of time and decide to do it at a later date.
This is where you come in. This business idea is all about selling easy to create ebooks about travel destinations that are close to home.
This is very easy to setup. The first thing you would need to do is find out where Americans like to spend their free time. These would be
the places you write about.
For instance, here are a few book titles you could use.
Romantic weekends for 2
The best skiing holidays for the whole family on a budget
48 hours in Houston
The complete guide to 3 day cruises, etc....
Basically all you have to do is find out the hottest destinations people who are travelling to for short breaks, write guides for them all, setup
a simple website and affiliate program, something like www.fabjob.com and you're set.
Information Goldmine Idea #5:
NicheOnlineRadio.com
This idea is probably going to set you back a few quid I admit it, but I think the long term forecast for this business will make up for that initial spending of money.
Internet radio has really never taken off big time and that's a shame because it has real potential.
The business idea here is, is to target small niche markets, profitable niche markets that could use an Internet radio station broadcast.
But here's the kicker and where the idea really takes off and will make you the most money.
Instead of just going after one niche market, you go after hundreds! For every niche market you create a couple of hours a week content for your radio station.
There are two ways this could work.
1) You could run a live Internet radio station and tell people to tune in at certain times, or
2) You could create the online content and run it continually untill you create more content.
This way the content would have a chance to be heard at anytime and your advertisers would get more bang for their buck.
If you don't have advertisers, register an easy to remember domain name and plug a few affiliate programs in there as well.

14 Steps to a Million Dollars

It's a very simple game I've used and am still
using and it's really changed the way I look at
life and money.
The rules to the game are simple.
The first person to become a millionaire is the
winner and you have to start with $100, no more, no
less.
The aim of the game is to double your money.
For instance, if you start with $100 you must make
$200 with it without using any extra money.
When you make $200, you have to double it to $400,
etc.
There are a few rules how ever.
For example, if you start with $100 and you manage
to make $350 with that $100, you can only use $200
of that money to get to the next step.
What you do with the rest of the money is up to
you.
Here are the money steps to follow.
1. $100
2. $200
3. $400
4. $800
5. $1600
6. $3200
7. $6400
8. $12,800
9. $25,600
10. $51,200
11. $102,400
12. $204,800
13. $409,600
14. $1,000,000
So, let's say you’re at step 9 and you have $25,600
to make $51,200. What would you do?
Remember, you don't have to spend the whole
$25,600 on one business idea, you can break it up,
just as long as you don't go over the limit.
Never ever use money from your own bank account
otherwise you will be more fearful of losing the
money.
I think the best way to double your money would be
to buy larger items like cars and sell them more
than what you brought them for.
I know a guy who buys used cars at police auctions
and dealer auctions and makes a few thousand bucks
in profit every time.
All he does is clean them up, (he pays a
professional to do it) and sells them privately.
Of course there are risks to this, but it's a risk
I'm willing to take.

4 major ways to make money

There are many different ways to make money on the
internet. Here are the 4 major ways to make money
with information products:
Build a membership site
Membership sites are very popular right now. This
is because instead of selling something once to a
person, with a membership site you get that one
person to buy from you every single month.
Membership sites are sites where you pay a certain
amount (usually each month) to get access to
information or services.
Here are a few examples of membership websites:
Information membership sites - Bmyers.com -
Swepa.com
Services - Getresponse.com - Host4profit.com
If you want more information on starting a
membership site, here are a few resources.
http://www.startamembershipsite.com
http://www.paidmembershipsite.com
http://www.bmyers.com
Selling an e-book
E-books always have and always be big sellers
online no matter what anyone says. The fact that
you can get information in your possession in a
matter of minutes makes e-books a big winner over
physical products.
Of course there are down sides to every business,
and the e-book business is no different. The
biggest complaint about e-books are the fact people
are either A) buying them and asking for refunds or
B) illegally giving away and selling the authors
work without their consent.
But even though there are downsides, it is still
more than worth it to sell your own e-book. Because
the upsides greatly, and I do mean greatly outweigh
the downsides.
To start, it costs virtually nothing to create ebooks.
All you need is to think of a hot subject,
do some research and make that research into a
book.
If you want more info on creating e-books, here are
a few good resources:
http://www.ebook-marketing-revealed.com/
http://www.7dayebook.com/
Become an affiliate
Affiliate businesses are probably the easiest to
start, but also can be the hardest to make
profitable. Simply because when you are an
affiliate, you are promoting someone else’s
products.
So what are affiliate programs and how can you earn
a constant monthly income with them?
Affiliate programs are a great way to get started
marketing online. In essence affiliate programs or
associate programs are revenue sharing arrangements
where companies (merchants) pay webmasters
commission for sending them customers.
In other words:
You refer people to different websites that sell
products. And if the people you refer buy, you get
a commission.
Perhaps the biggest advantage of becoming an
affiliate is that you do not need your own product!
All you need is a way to send traffic to other
people’s websites and boom, you have started your
own business!
Here is a guide that teaches you to do just that:
http://www.googlecash.com
You are paid a commission if the person buys a
product or service, (Pay per Sale - Most
Popular Option), clicks on an affiliate link (Pay
Per Click - Less popular due to fraud) or simply
fills out a form (Pay per Lead - Also Very
Popular).
Basically affiliate programs are programs that
enable you to sell other peoples products for a
percentage of the sale. They are also a very hot
topic at the moment.
To see a comprehensive list of affiliate programs
you can join or visit, see some links I provided
below.
You can virtually sell anything online now thanks
to affiliate programs. If you want to learn more
about starting your own affiliate business, you
really need to read the following guides.
http://www.clickbank.com
Start an online e-book store
An online e-book store is basically a website that
sells e-books. While a conventional website usually
sells only one e-book, an e-book store website
sells many.
You can start an online e-book store 3 different
ways:
1. Write your own e-books and sell them in your
online store website.
Since you will be creating your own products oneby-
one, this will take a long time to set up.
2. Buy resell rights to other people’s e-books.
This will be a lot faster than creating your own
products, because you will be buying already made
products.
However, you will need some start up money
(probably about $1,000) to get this off the ground.
3. Simply promote other people’s e-books on your
website. Basically, become an affiliate of other
people’s stuff by having affiliate links on your
website.

30 Top Ways To Package Your Information Products For Maximum Riches (Part 2)

16. Membership Site. Include your text, audio and video content in a secure website where your clients pay you each month for access to the material. The great opportunity here is it is residual income that continues each month.
17. Radio Show. With the power of the internet anyone can have their own radio show. You can record the content and have it played at various times or you can do a live show. Same content as a podcast.
18. TV Show. Internet TV (IPTV) is coming very quickly. Just like internet radio – within 1-2 years anyone can build their own TV show on the internet.
19. Syndicated Column. As an expert in your field, you may be asked to submit your articles to a newspaper. Or you can post your articles on your own website and others can syndicate the content via RSS feeds.
20. Articles. Crop your book content into smaller sections – and you’ve got a ton of articles you can use online or offline.
21. Mini Books or Reports. You guessed it… if you have a book with 5 chapters, you could make it into 5 “special reports”.
22. CD/DVD Training. Use your audio CDs and/or video DVDs to create a monthly training subscription service. Think like “Video Professor”. You’ve already got the content created – get clients to pay you monthly for it.
23. Magazine. A magazine is nothing but a large Newsletter. The great thing about a magazine… you can get advertisers to pay you money each month to be listed in your magazine.
24. Software. Convert your content into an executable file. You don’t have to be a software developer. I used HTML and Flash to package text, audio and video into an EXE. Once an EXE I called it software and it could be promoted with a higher perceived value.
25. Keynote Speaking .Summarize your content into PowerPoint slides to speak from when asked to be an expert presenter.
26. Resell Rights. Provide others the ability to resell your product(s) and keep 100% of the profits. Pro: Higher perceived value Con: You lose control of your product If you want income – this is a great way to do it. If you have a product you don’t want to lose control of – do not do this.
27. Private Label Rights. Provide others the ability to modify your content, brand it with their own name and resell it as their own. Pro: Higher perceived value
Con: It will no longer be your product after it’s rebranded
28. Licensing. Make an arrangement with a company to purchase a large quantity of your product. For example: A company may license your content for all their employees.
29. Foreign Rights. Convert your content into other languages.
30. Consulting. A culmination of all your research and content presented as required by the person and/or company that hires you.
The key point when it comes to packaging is that you package your product to meet your need.
If you need a viral product – then use a viral package like podcast, special report, etc.
If you need an entry-level product - then go with an e-book, book or audio book.
If you need a high dollar product – then package products together like books, CDs, Workbooks, DVDs, etc.
NOTE: The most important part of this information is that you notice it ALL comes from the content we put together based on our idea’s outline.
There is NO difference between the content in an e-book, audio and video but depending on the way you package it you could receive a much higher profit because you’ve provided a much higher value to the client. Make sense?
If you can create an e-book then you can create ANY of the products/services shown above. They are just various ways to package the exact same content.

30 Top Ways To Package Your Information Products For Maximum Riches (Part 1)

Remember, stop thinking of a “product”… think in terms of “content”. Think about the outline you built and the content you’ve collected.
That content IS your product(s). The way you package and present it is just window dressing.
Here are the 30 most effective and profitable information product types which you can use as a guide to package your own products:
1. E-Books Content converted to a PDF file. You’ll see a free way to convert content to a PDF later in this action guide.
2. Books Content converted to a PDF file and then sent to a printer. If you want to self-publish your book, you’ll see a great Print-On-Demand (POD) website later in this action guide. You can print just one book or 25,000. It’s a great way to get started with a physical book.
3. Newsletters Content ‘sections’ (articles) that are either used in an offline newsletter or an online ezine. A book of content could give you enough content for a year’s worth of newsletters.
4. Blogs Content ‘snippets’ used in an online blogging program. Snippets would be like taking the title and first paragraph or two from an article. The debate is still out on this but there are some who say you should use the entire article of content for a blog and others who say you should just use a quick snippet of info to capture the reader’s attention.
5. Audio Books Record yourself (or someone else) reading your book content. Yes, just read it and record it. Voila – you’ve got an audio book. Later in this action guide I’ll show you how to do this with a free software product.
6. Podcast. Record yourself talking about your subject matter. You can read part of your book. Like reading sections or chapters of the content. You can just talk about it. You’ve done the research. You’re now an expert. Just talk about what you know. You can use the free software product given later to record your podcast.
7. Audio Program Multiple audio CDs in one program. Whenever you gather content for an idea you’ll always have more content than you can fit into a book or e-book. A one CD ‘audio book’ could become an full blown ‘audio program’ by breaking it into separate CDs for each chapter and adding additional content.
8. Vlogcast. This is just like a blog or a podcast except it’s recording the content as a video instead of text or audio. Although you will have to invest in a camera (either digital video camera or webcam) the software to edit and package the video is completely free – I’ll tell you about it later.
9. Video Program Just like the Audio Program except the content is recorded as a video. For example, you could read the book into the camera or you could be recorded teaching the material to a group. Break the content up into sections and place each section on a separate DVD.
10. Workbooks. Examine your content and create a book or report specifically designed to ‘teach’ the material. Present the information in a summarized format and have questions for each book chapter/section.
11. Multi-Media Kits. Put your book, audio book and/or DVD or you reading your book together.
12. Coaching Program. Present your content via the phone or email depending on how you’ve structured your coaching program.
13. Teleseminars. Present your content via the telephone – normally in an interview type format. However, I have listened to a few teleseminars that was just the expert speaking the entire time.
14. Teleworkshops. Present your content via telephone in a “workbook” type scenario. Make it a smaller group with an interactive layout.
15. Home Study Course. Combine books, audio programs, video programs, workbooks, etc. into one product. Anyone who can create enough content for an e-book has
enough content to convert their content into a Home Study Course and have a high-end product to promote.

Getting Around Minimum Order Quantities (Part 3)

Now again, I must say you do not have to sell what you are interested but I and
more importantly a lot of powersellers recommend it.
Beckertime sells expensive watches, so even though he doesn’t have as many
transactions as other powersellers, he still sells over $500,000 worth of products
on eBay per month. Many of the items he lists for auction sell for over $6,000, so
he has a lot less transactions than other sellers but each transaction is worth a lot
more.
That brings us to our next topic: few expensive items VS lots of cheap
items
What are you going to sell lots of cheap items, few expensive ones or something
in between? To help you decide I will go over the disadvantages and advantages
of each. I will also tell you where and how to get the stuff you want to sell.
Expensive products advantages:
• If you sell expensive products you will make more money with less work.
That is the biggest and most obvious advantage of selling high ticket items.
You do not need a hundred sales a day, all you will need is a few and you
have made your money. The fewer items you sell the less work you have to
do.
• You don’t need to answer hundreds of emails, pack hundreds of items and
ship hundreds of items. Less work more money, selling expensive
products is great.
• When you sell expensive items you have less competition. High ticket
items are much harder to find than average and low priced ones. So
naturally most people simply sell stuff that is easy to find, cheap stuff. If
you are going to sell things like computers, plasma TV’s or Rolex watches
you don’t need to worry about a ton of competition because most people
are lazy and wont bother investing their time, effort and money looking for
a supplier.
Expensive products disadvantages:
• Expensive products can be a lot harder to find than cheap ones. If you
want to sell Rolex watches, you won’t be able to find a supplier by simply
typing “Rolex wholesaler” into a search engine.
• Expensive items are expensive! If you want to sell high ticket items you
will need to invest some money and I don’t mean $100. Or you can always
use OPM!
• The disadvantages above are really advantages in disguise because the
people who are willing to work and invest money into their business in the
beginning are the ones that are going to be rewarded the most. Not
everyone wants to actually work. Most people want to simply list auctions
and have the product drop shipped to their costumes. Those who put in
some work and money will be greatly rewarded.

Getting Around Minimum Order Quantities (Part 2)

You have played by someone else’s set of rules all of your life: your
parent’s rules, your school’s rules, your boss’s rules. It’s time to
follow your own rules and follow in the footsteps of millions of
successful people that did it before you.
Think outside the box, strive to achieve your goals and play by your own rules. In
other words think for your self.
Now let’s get to the products:
The first question most people have is what do I sell?
Most powersellers answer that question with sell what you like!
Yes, sell what you like. If you like comic books than sell comic books, if you like
paintings sell that. Selling what you like is very important. Most of the
powersellers
I interviewed said having fun and selling what you are interested in are the 2
most important things that you must NEVER forget when selling on eBay.
So why is it so important that you sell what you like and not simply what’s “hot”
at the moment? There are many reasons, here are the main ones:
If your favorite thing in the world is…oh, let’s say vintage shoes. You are A LOT
less likely to get ripped off by a shoe supplier than a person who just heard that
vintage shoes are “hot” and wants in on the action.
You are more likely to actually start selling on eBay and actually stick to it if you
are selling something you enjoy. Wouldn’t it be nice to do what you love and
make money at the same time? Well if you sell what you love you are one step
closer to doing just that.
If you simply sell things that you think will sell, that means you are doing it just
for the money. If you do something just for money than what’s the point? Just
keep your day job.
Remember how I told you that most powersellers said the 2 things you should
never forget are have fun and sell what you like. Well if you don’t sell something
you like your fun won’t last very long, at first it will be very fun watching the bids
go up and making all that money. But sooner or later your fun will turn into work
and you will dread selling on eBay just like you might have dreaded your job.
I’m sure that the above reasons are fairly obvious to you, I am simply telling this
to you so you don’t make the mistake of trading in one crappy job for another.
One powerseller I talked to sells expensive watches and jewelry. He was a watch
collector before he started selling on eBay, one day he decided to buy a watch off
eBay. He bought the watch but his wife would not let him keep it, telling him “it’s
too expensive” and “you already have a lot of watches”. So he decided to make his
wife happy and get rid of the watch, but not by returning it but by selling it where
he bought it in the first place, eBay.
When he put the watch up for auction all he was hoping for is to get his money
back. He didn’t just get his money back, he made a profit! And that is how he got
started on eBay.
When I asked him if it was the money that keeps him selling watches on eBay, his
response was a loud and clear “NO!” He than explained to me that because of
eBay he now gets to see and wear hundreds of watches that he wouldn’t even
dream of having in his possession before. He told me that the biggest mistake
he ever made was trying to sell things he didn’t enjoy.
Now I know what you may be thinking; does this guy make a lot of money? Does
he still have a “real job”? Or is this just a hobby for him?
Let me answer the last question fist: yes, selling on eBay is his hobby….because
he LOVES what he sells. Yes he does still have a “real job” and YES he does make
a lot of money!
So who is this man? He is the highest dollar seller of watches on eBay (over
$500.000 per month)! And he does it part time!
The eBay ID of this man is beckertime and his website address is
www.beckertime.com
I recommend you check out his listings, you can probably learn a few things and
buy some watches (more on that later).
Now I know what you might be saying (again!), hey! This guy sells
watches…watches sell well! Yes watches are one of the more popular selling items
on eBay, but I got something that will cheer you up, most of the other
powersellers I talked to don’t sell watches, they sell stuff like their own artwork,
antiques, plates and cups, Christmas ornaments and other stuff that you would
think have a hard time selling.
So if what you are interested in is not exactly what you would call “hot”. Don’t
worry, you can still make good money!
So remember: SELL WHAT YOU ARE INTERETED IN!

Getting Around Minimum Order Quantities (Part 1)

Getting around minimum order quantities: I am sure you already know
that many suppliers and manufacturers have a minimum order quantity. This can
be a big problem to most people that are just starting out in eBay. Most people
can’t afford the minimum order quantity set by the suppliers, and this is the time
most people usually give up their dream of becoming a successful eBay seller.
Well guess what, there is an easy way to get around the problem of big MOQ’s,
and it works! This method is not something that is very often talked about, but a
lot of eBay power sellers used this exact method to start of their now enormously
successful businesses.
In order to be able to use this method to its full potential you must understand
that people are humans not machines. And humans can be easily persuaded into
doing what you want them to do.
Let’s say you are extremely thirsty, so you walk into a convenient store and decide
to buy a drink. You put the drink you want on the counter, reach into your pocket
and realize that you are 5 cents short. Can you convince the person at the cash
register to make an exception? Yes of course, more often than not all you will
have to do is ask.
Now, let’s say you are extremely thirsty, so you walk up to a vending machine,
reach into your pocket and realize you are 5 cents short. Can you convince the
vending machine to make an exception? No way, you can plead with it all day and
it won’t even listen to you. You couldn’t convince it even if you had a gun!
Something else you absolutely must know is exactly who you’re dealing with. Are
you dealing with the owner of the wholesale company? No, most likely not. You
are probably dealing with a sales representative or a manager. This is very
important because sales representatives and managers usually don’t have big fat
salaries and are a lot easier to convince than a highly paid president or rich
owner.
So what exactly is this method for getting around MOQ’s? Well it’s quite simple,
you need to make helping you something that is in the best interest of the person
you are dealing with. If you are simply going to go into the sales manager’s office
and say “c’mon, let me buy less than required….c’Mon, it would make me a lot of
money”. If you say stuff like that; you won’t get anywhere. You need to say things
that are in the person’s best interest, not yours.
So what is it that you should offer the person that has the power to help you
become successful? Offer them a part of your profits.
What has worked for me in the past and many power sellers I have talked to is
offering the person you are dealing with a commission for every product you sell.
This is a very attractive offer and most people will not be able to turn it down.
That is of course if you present it properly. Here is an example:
Let’s say that the product you want to sell is a highly profitable one, take luxury
car wheels for example. What you need to do before you meet the supplier (sales
manager) is work out how many wheels a month you are going to sell, how much
profit you will make per every sale and how much money you will be making per
month. With the car wheels you want to sell you can expect to make a profit of
$500 per sale and maybe even higher.
So you work out the profit you will make per every sale ($500), now you need to
figure out how many car wheels you will be able to sell per month, let’s say
around 30. That gives you a monthly income of $15,000/ month (30 sales
multiplied by $500 = $15,000).
After you’ve figured out your projected profit per sale and income per month, you
need to decide how much of that money you are willing to pay to the person (sales
manager) that is going to make it all happen for you. I usually give 20%, so do
other sellers and so should you. What does 20% mean to the sales manage? It
means $100 for every set of wheels you sell, if you meet your goal of 30
sales/month this will mean a $3,000 monthly commission for the sales manager.
Now tell me this, if you were offered a $3,000 passive monthly income, would
you turn it down?!
An eBay power seller I have talked to told me that the best way to preset this
proposal is in a friendly and comfortable environment, something like a café of
bar. The reason for this is because an unfamiliar office can be an intimidating
environment. You need to be somewhere comfortable. This will make both you
and the sales manager a lot more open and friendly.
You should also type up the offer and print it out, stuff it in an envelope and leave
it with the sales manager after your meeting is over. This is a powerful trick,
because when the sales manager opens the envelope and looks at everything you
have just proposed to him, all broken down and calculated it will be hard for
him not to see it your way.
When you type up this offer make sure to clearly break down all of the numbers
you mentioned, the typed up offer should not include a lot of text, just a break
down of the money the sales manager would be making if everything goes as
planned. Example:
Estimated profit per/ sale: $500
Estimated monthly sales goal: 30 sales
Commission; %20 or $100 per sale, $3,000 per month
You can also include an explanation of how you came up with those numbers.
Now I know that this may sound a little fishy and unethical, but nothing could be
further from the truth. If you do something like this, it will be a win-win situation
for everyone. You will be making money, the sales manager will be making money
and the wholesale company would not only be making money but also gaining a
long term business partner (you) that is a true asset to the company.
Multi million dollar deals are made every day using these kinds of “fishy”
methods, and almost every business and successful corporation that ever existed
was once involved in under the table deals when it was still in its infancy. You will
not breaking any laws or be hurting anyone by conducting this type of business.
Oh and as for that minimum order that you couldn’t afford. If you stick to your
plans and meet your goals you will be buying a lot more than the minimum order
required, every single month. Like I said, its win-win for everyone, because you’re
making money, the manager is making money and the wholesale company is not
only making money it’s gaining a valuable asset (you).
Like I said before, this is something not a lot of eBay power sellers’ talk about but
a lot of them do. It is important to know that you don’t have to keep paying the
sales manager a 20% commission forever. You can stop as soon as you make
enough money to be able to afford the MOQ. This is something that only has to be
done in the beginning (if you have no start up money) and is done by countless
amounts of new businesses every day.
My personal motto is, if I can’t use the rules to my advantage, those rules don’t
apply to me. A lot of successful people seem to agree with me, because this
method of getting what you want is exactly what “playing by your own rules” is all
about.

3 EASY WAYS TO INCREASE THE BIDS ON YOUR EBAY AUCTIONS BY UP TO 50%

1. End your auctions when everyone is home: The time you list your auctions can have a big effect on the number of bids your auction receives and the closing price of your auctions. The time when your auction usually gets the most bids is near the end. If you have listed
an auction for 7 days, the whole seven days have been building up to the end of the auction. The end is when the last minute bidding begins, bidders desperately try to out bid one another to win the auction. The end of your auction is also when it gets the most traffic because the less time your auction has left the higher it places in the search results of someone that is looking for items similar to yours.
So what is the best time to list? A better question would be: when is the best time for an auction to close? The best time for an auction to close is in the evenings and on weekends. Why? Because that is when most people are home! You want to make sure that when your auction is closing, everyone that is bidding on it or is interested in bidding
on it is free to do so.What would happen if your auction closes at 9 am on a Monday morning? Everyone would be either sleeping or going to work and no one would have the time or energy to
place any bids. You need to make your auction end at the bidder’s convenience, in other words when the bidder is home and surfing the internet, in the evening or weekend. How important is it to end your auctions when everyone is home and on their computer?
Studies have shown that a listing that ends at peak hours can attract up to 25% more bids
that one that has a poorly timed ending.
This is something you should definitely look into because simply listing your auctions at
certain times is probably the easiest and most effortless ways to attract more bids and
make hire profits.
So if you want to increase your profits; you should have your auctions end at anywhere
from 8 pm – 11 pm in the evening, or end on weekends (in the afternoons). In other
words, your auctions should end when everyone is home and has a chance to place a bid.
2. 100% money back guarantee: you need to make your potential costumers feel
comfortable, completely safe and take away any fears or doubts they may have about
buying from you. A very effective way to accomplish that is to give a 100% money back
guarantee. This is no “secret”. Nearly every retail store, internet store, manufacturer and
power seller does this. And yet a lot of eBay sellers try to avoid it.
Some sellers are scared of buyers taking advantage of their money back guarantees, so
they either create a huge list of rules and regulations that simply scare people away or
have a “no refunds” policy. A guarantee’s purpose is to take away any fear or doubt
people may have about buying from you, some seller’s guarantees do the exact opposite;
there are just too many scary rules and stipulations. That’s why you need a %100 money
back guarantee with no strings attached!
The only “string” you need in your 100% money back guarantee is a time limit. The best
time limit to give is a 90 days. Don’t worry, most items are returned within the first
couple of weeks, so if they haven’t returned it in the first 30 day their most likely keeping
it. So why give 90 days instead of 30? Because it sounds better, Would you rather have
30 day guarantee or a 90 day one? 90 days it is.
A 90 day 100% money back guarantee can do wonders for your business, it will take
away doubts, fears and uncomfortable feelings of skeptical visitors and make them
choose you over other sellers that have less promising guarantees.
If you are scared to offer a guarantee, don’t be. You will gain more money that you loose.
Sure there might be some people who take advantage of your kindness, use the product
for 90 days and return it. But that is inevitable, the only way to completely avoid those
nasty people is to never do anything. Stop being so scared, you will gain much more
than you loose.
3. Professionally designed listing graphics: professionally designed listing graphics
have been proven to increase the number of bids an auctions receives by up to 25%. And
that is why getting hiring a graphics designer to design your auction graphics is worth
every penny.
How can graphics increase the number of bids your auctions get by up to 25%? Well,
let’s see:
First of all a unique design will give you an identity and make you stand out from a
crowed.
Graphics can give your auction listings a professional appearance, and most people want
to deal with professionals not amateurs.
A unique design will keep people thinking of you. Every time a costumer comes across
one of your listings they will recognize you. Big companies pay hundreds of millions of
dollars to gain recognition, why? Because most people tent to trust companies they
recognize over companies they have never heard of before.
Those are some of the main reason why professionally designed listing graphics can
dramatically increase the number of bids your auctions receive. There are many more
reasons why you should get your own auction listing design, but the most important thing
you should know is 25% more bids translates into a lot of extra money.

2 EASY WAYS TO INCREASE THE BIDS ON YOUR EBAY AUCTIONS BY UP TO 50%

1. Detailed item description and high quality photos: remember that when a person
buys something from eBay, they don’t actually get to see, inspect and try out the item
they are buying. This is why good photographs are a huge part of attracting bidders. The
better your photos are the more likely it is that people will bid on your items.
That is why you should have multiple photos of the item you have up for auction. You
need to show every part of the product in your photos. So the visitor can see what the
product he/she is about bid on looks like. Remember, if the visitor was in a store they
would get to see the product from all angles.
Remember the saying; a picture is forth a thousand words. On eBay its worth two
thousand! You need good, clear photos in order to maximize the efficiency of your
listings. And to take good, clear photos you will need a good camera. If you want to sell
small products like watches, jewelry, MP3 players, palm pilots and other compact
products you will need to take very close up pictures, for that you need a camera that is
cable of small detailed photos.
The pictures in your listings need to compliment the product you’re selling and make it
look beautiful. For that you need to take the photos in good lighting and at an angle that
shows off your product’s good looks. If your camera is of cheap quality, the pictures
might turn out blurry. Combine blurry pictures taken at bad angles with bad lighting and
your product can turn out looking worth half of your asking price.
Having clear, detailed pictures that compliment the product you are selling will create
more value. Pictures that make the product look great will also grow the desire your
visitor has to buy the product. Desire is big, and pictures that show the product in all its
glory will definitely create more desire.
What you also need to do when you are putting something up for auction on eBay or
trying to sell something on Amazon (or anywhere on the internet for that matter).
Describe the product you are selling in as much detail as possible. I mean mention
everything about the product. Mention the color, weight, size, texture, features,
accessories, condition, warranty, box size etc.
You need to not only mention everything, but explain what it all means as well; don’t just
say “this camera comes with X2r-c finder scope” say “this camera comes with X2r-c
finder scope which allows you to take pictures at night and improves the quality of
photos you are taking by 50%”. You need to make your description simple to understand
because if you don’t; you might confuse your potential costumer, and most people hate
being confused.
Confusion can lead to frustration, and if your potential costumers get frustrated; all they
have to do is click the back button on their web browser, and boom; you’ve just lost a
bid.
So remember; your costumer doesn’t have the chance to actually see, feel and inspect the
product they are buying from you, and that can fill their head with doubt (BAD!). So
make sure you have a clear, detailed and easy to understand description.
2. Offer shipping discounts: The number one reason why most people refuse to buy
products over the internet is because they believe the shipping charges add too much to
the overall cost of the product. If this is the number one reason why people won’t buy
from you; offer shipping discounts.
Most power sellers offer combined shipping discount. This means that if you buy more
than one item from the seller; they will ship the items together instead of separately, and
that can save the costumer a lot of money.
To almost everyone that buys products off of the internet; shipping charges are a pain in
the butt. That is exactly why you should offer to ease their pain in the form of shipping
discounts and NEVER over charge on shipping and handling. Some people get the clever
idea to over charge on shipping to make a profit. This is an extremely bad idea, and it can
severely decrease the number of bids your auctions receive and the price they close at.
Remember; shipping charges are a pain in the butt, offer to take the pain away and you
will be rewarded with extra bids, and bids translate into dollars.

High quality photos, professional graphics, 100% money back guaranties and shipping
discounts will work not only on eBay, but on yahoo, Amazon, your own website etc. Just
because I chose to use eBay as a basis for explanation doesn’t mean that the advice in this
list can’t be applied to anything else.
I think you will agree that most of the methods to improve your sales featured in this list
require very little effort. Be that as it may; professional graphics and strategically timed
auction listings alone can increase the number of bids your auctions receive by up to 25%
each (combined total of 50%).
The methods and advice in this book are simple and easy ways to dramatically increase
your profits and everything in this list is worth applying many times over.
Now that you know what to do, go and do it!! Because if you don’t; nothing will change!

4 Things You Should Do Before You Start Buying or Selling On Ebay

Get a separate bank and Paypal account for eBay: this is very important,
you must get a separate bank account and use it only for business purposes. A
separate bank account will make a world of difference. It will make it easier to
track your finances, simplify things and make your business look and feel like a
real business. Your business account does not have to be an actual business
account, a simple bank account in your name will do…as long as it is used for
business purposes only.
A Paypal account is something you absolutely NEED in order to sell things on
eBay. Almost everything sold on eBay is paid for through Paypal. With Paypal you
will be able to receive payments through the internet and also except credit cards.
Paypal is owned by eBay, so there are many advantages to using Paypal to accept
payments. Buyers will be able to send you money from their credit card or bank
account through Paypal. Your bank account will be linked to your Paypal account
so you can transfer money from one to another.
Get (or borrow) a digital camera: a good digital camera is something you
simply can’t do without on eBay. Good, clear photos are extremely important to
your success. The buyer has no chance to see the actual item in person so the
more of the item you can show him/her in your listing the better.
Get a separate email address: I suggest that you open at least 2 new email
accounts, this is important because once you start selling you will be getting a lot
of questions from people who are interested with the stuff you are selling. You
should have an email account just for questions and one for everything else
(Paypal, suppliers, memberships…).
Set up a home office: The more organized and tidy you are the more efficient
you will be able to run your eBay business. The more efficient your business is the
less you have to work! This all goes back to treating your business like a business.
You should also have a business telephone number so people can call you. You
may need to make some room in your home for all the merchandise you are going
to sell. As for the stuff you need in your office all I can say is OFFICE STUFF! You
know pens, binders, paper, a calculator, monkeys (joking).
If you are working at a full time job you probably have very little spare time to do
all of these things and remember, we are still just getting started. The good thing
about eBay is it can be done alone, you don’t need workers or assistants because
eBay takes care of a large part of the most important part of your business for
you…the selling.

8 Things You Should Avoid Doing On Ebay

Reserve auctions: there are times to use reserve auctions but when you are just
starting out and you want to experience what it feels like to sell something and
get some confidence its better to start your items at a low price with no reserve.
Most buyers hate reserve auctions! You will get a lot less interest from potential
buyers if you have a reserve. Buyers don’t want to spend 7 days bidding on
something and have it not sell. Besides no-reserve auctions usually get more bids
and a higher closing price. More on reserve auctions later.
Buying too much of one product: when you are first starting out you usually
want everything to happen as fast as it possibly can. A lot of people make the
mistake of buying the first lot of products they see from the first supplier they go
to.
Many powerseller will tell you just like they told me, the worst thing that can
happen to you is buying a ton of products only to find out the products don’t sell
well and are twice as cheap from a different supplier.
Basing your plans on guesswork: if you are like most people, your plans are
probably based on guesswork. You have probably heard the saying “what you
don’t know can’t hurt you” well in business planning what you don’t know WILL
hurt you. I have heard many people say things like “I can get a great deal on these
designer sunglasses, they will sell so good!”
What these people often find out is that the sunglasses sell on eBay for less than
what they got them for or their not authentic (fake). So please don’t simply
assume that the product will sell for an X amount of dollars or that you are
getting a good deal. It is very important that you base everything on actual facts
and research and not simply what you think.
Not treating your business seriously: most powersellers I talked to are fulltime
eBay sellers, working anywhere from 1-14 hours a day. What? You don’t
want to work 14 hours a day!? Don’t worry this book teaches you how to save a
ton of time.
The powersellers that work over 8 hours a day are usually the ones that aren’t
treating their business like a business, you will learn all about this later. The
important is that you start treating your business like a business right from the
start, even when you are putting your first item up for auction.
Getting discouraged when your first auction doesn’t get any bids: this
is a big one, because this is when most people quit. Until you experience a sale
you will have doubts in your mind about your ability to make money on eBay.
When the first item you put up for auction doesn’t sell, the doubts in your mind
can get stronger and you can get discouraged. If your first auction doesn’t get any
bids on it remember it’s not the end of the world. What you should know
before listing an item up for sale is, it isn’t guaranteed to sell. Not everything on
eBay gets bided on, the truth is if you can get %25-50 of your auctions to sell,
that’s great!!
Selling fake or counter fit products: if you are thinking about selling
designer clothing, shoes or accessories this is something you should NEVER do
unless you want to be banned from eBay. EBay is littered with fake designer
clothing, the people that sell this crap usually have a very short eBay career.
Because eBay has a program called VeRO (Verified Rights Owner). This program
is basically representatives of the brand name companies (Nike, polo, Swiss army
etc.) searching through eBay and reporting anything that looks even remotely
suspicious. So do NOT list fake products on eBay! It will be the end of eBay for
you.
Estimating how much shipping will cost: when you list your first items up
for auction don’t just put up a shipping price that you think will cover the
shipping cost of your item. If your shipping price is too high no one will be
interested in your auctions. If your shipping price turns out to be less than what
the post office charges you will have to pay the balance. There are many ways to
lose money on eBay, shipping is a big one.
Talking instead of doing: instead of telling everyone how much money you
are going to make, why don’t you show them by making it. I know it is very
tempting to tell everyone about the exciting new way of making money you have
discovered. But doing this is very counter productive and is just an excuse to put
off actually getting to work for another day. Remember, do first talk last.
Those are the main things you should avoid when starting out on eBay, you
should obviously avoid posting naked pictures of your self when listing
auctions….that is common scents. Now that you know what not to do keep
reading and I will tell you all the things you should do.
If you want to make a living selling on eBay you must treat it like a real business.
There is a ton of powersellers out there who treat selling on eBay like a job not a
business (more on that later), these are usually the same people that work 14
hour days.
